EURO9000 Locomotives for European Loc Pool (ELP)
Since May 2019, European Loc Pool (ELP) has acquired forty Co’Co’ EURO9000 locomotives to lease them to rail operators from different countries. This purchase is part of the framework agreement between Stadler and ELP.
The powerful multisystem locomotives enable operations on AC and DC electrified lines. They are also equipped with two medium power diesel engines to run on non-electrified lines. The TSI-compliant locomotives are intended for operations along the main European rail corridors including the following countries: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. All of them have various country packages, ETCS and radio remote control as standard features.
