Head of Sales ETCS, Stadler Signalling, Wallisellen

What excites you about Stadler?

In Sales and Bids you are intersecting with many departments and topics, from technical to commercial side, contract management to strategy. In this way, the tasks are varying and keeps everyday exciting. Due to the complex product of European Train Control System (ETCS(, e.g. changing laws, there is always something new to learn. Remaining flexible and open to new ideas and change makes it even more exciting for me.

We also have quite an international environment at Stadler Signalling. This makes the workplace exciting as working with different kinds of people and cultures brings different ideas and perspectives.

How did you develop at Stadler?

Exactly five years ago in 2019 I started at Stadler Signalling as Bid Engineer for ETCS. In 2022, I had the opportunity to become the Team Leader for Bid Management ETCS and helped to shape the organisation and collaboration within the business unit. My last career step was in 2024, where was given the opportunity to Head the Sales activities for ETCS. This couldn’t have been possible without a great support system within Stadler and being empowered by those who saw potential in me.

Development is not only about job title but finding your voice in the organisation and being able to influence the organisation in a positive way. During my time at Stadler, I was granted the opportunity to complete a Masters in Railway Engineering, as I am passionate about railway and wanted to deepen my knowledge in the field.

Why would you recommend Stadler to others?

If you like challenges and are really looking to shape your daily work and potentially help to shape the organisation, I would highly recommend Stadler. Hard work, remaining flexible and open to new ideas is the key to success.
