KISS200
KISS200 is the long-distance version of the KISS model series. Building the first double-decker train for SBB, Stadler responded to the need for high capacities in regional transport in 2008, expanding the Altenrhein plant into a double-decker centre.
The KISS200 is a high-speed Intercity double-decker train. It is lightweight and energy-efficient with its stable, torsion-resistant aluminium car body. The pressure resistant design with optimised bogies supports a maximum speed of 200Â km/h. Trainsets of up to eight cars are possible in standard and broad gauge, with seating for up to 1000 passengers depending on the design of the interior. The interior of the KISS200 can be customised very flexibly to reflect customers' individual requirements.
Stadler received the first order for Intercity double-decker trains with a maximum speed of 200Â km/h from WESTbahn in Vienna in 2011.
