This innovative driver assistance system is based on advanced AI-based object detection technology that increases driving safety and prevents collisions. The precision of the object detection, which is carried out with up to three different sensors (radar, camera and lidar), ensures a reliable warning strategy (3 warning levels with different reactions) of potential obstacles on the rails.

Stadler NOVA Smartsense sets standards in terms of reliability by providing early warning of objects such as vehicles or people on the track. This technology ensures that train drivers can react quickly, minimising potential risks.
