Dynamic information for passengers on platforms in real time
Stadler's passenger information system is a modular solution that provides dynamic passenger information on board a vehicle and on platforms. Passengers receive information about the predicted actual departure times and special information. The target departure times from the timetable are displayed as a fallback level, e.g. in the event of disruptions or non-localised vehicles.
MOFIS® passenger information system
The MOFIS® passenger information system is a modular solution that provides dynamic passenger information at bus and train platforms. Passengers receive information about the forecast actual departure times and special information. The target departure times from the timetable are displayed as a fallback level, e.g. in the event of disruptions or non-localised vehicles.
Configured accordingly, MOFIS® can also support the operator in optimising operations, e.g. through the possibility of processing and optimising connections. By sending a message to the driver of a vehicle, it is possible to prevent a connection from not being reached within a few seconds or minutes.
Thanks to a large number of interfaces to third-party systems, existing data can generally be used for passenger information without additional effort. Importing timetable data and route information is just as easy as exporting operating data and display data. If a transport company already has an AVLC/ITCS system, ARIANE can either take over its location reports or already calculated departure forecasts and process them further. If this is not the case, ARIANE can be supplemented by an ITCS light, in which the locations of the vehicles are determined via built-in GPRS/GPS modems and reported to the control centre.
PIS Passenger Information System
Stadler's PIS passenger information system is a system that provides passengers on board a vehicle with information in real time. This information can include the current location of the train, the estimated time of arrival at the next stations and delays or service disruptions. The system can display images on screens throughout the train or transmit carriage-specific information (e.g. directional arrows to the nearest exit). Thanks to its modular design, external systems (e.g. operations control systems) can also be connected. The Stadler PIS is an in-house development, which ensures deep networking and compatibility with the overall system. Infotainment concepts can also be implemented via an additionally available module (DFIWeb), in which advertising, regional information, news or weather can be displayed and customised for the customer or passenger.
