Traffic signal systems (FSA) are used to secure and operate line sections such as stabling facilities and line junctions. They correspond to the technical requirements of signalling systems in accordance with § 21 BOStrab and are characterised by high reliability and compliance with the required safety standards (SIL3). Signalling systems are predominantly operated in the "driving on sight" mode in accordance with BOStrab. In areas with special hazards due to the track topology or e.g. in tunnels, FSAs can also be designed for the "train protection" operating mode. This can be combined with our train protection systems. Non-safe signalling interfaces to external systems (e.g. traffic light control systems) can be provided in the form of potential-free contact overrides.
Train signal systems are generally designed as stand-alone systems, but can be networked with each other via a higher-level non-safe control level (e.g. VILUDA).
