Success Stories

Photovoltaics - Electricity from solar energy

Stadler has set itself the goal of constantly reducing its energy requirements. A large proportion of CO2 emissions are caused by energy consumption during production. This also represents an effective measure to combat rising energy costs.

All aboard the future: Stadler's hydrogen-powered revolution

With the delivery of the first hydrogen trains to the United States, Stadler is not only building more trains for America, known as being a car country, but is also initiating a trend reversal in the almost entirely diesel fueled American rail transport.

Training for the mobility of tomorrow

Stadler opened its new LAB training centre in Bussnang in August 2023 and was created as a measure to combat the shortage of skilled workers and marks an important step in the training of the next generation of skilled workers in Eastern Switzerland.

Commitment to Human Rights

For Stadler, upholding human rights means ensuring the safety of vehicles and applying fair working conditions in its own factories and throughout the supply chain. Internationally recognised standards and principles of action such as the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the UN Conventions on the Rights of the Child, the ILO Conventions and the UK Modern Slavery Act form a framework for guidance.
In 2023, Stadler created the position of a Human Rights Officer, who reports to the General Counsel Legal and Compliance functions. If there are any suspected cases of human rights violations or related concerns, they are dealt with by the Human Rights Officer.

Good Corporate Governance

International laws and standards, to which we commited by choice, build the framework of our coporate governance.

As producer of rail vehicles and provider of mobility solutions, the procurement of components and systems plays a key role. Thereby, Stadler attaches great importance to sustainable procurement and efficient supply chain management.
